Committees
What is a Chapter committee?
We are volunteer organization - it takes the time and energy of each of members to make this chapter a success. Our Chapter has several committees (see below) that could utilize your expertise and skills.
Who is on a Chapter committee?
Each committee is made up of a Committee Chairperson (must be a PayrollOrg member) and their Committee Members. The Committee Chairperson is determined by the President and the Board of Directors. The Committee Members are volunteers who are active members in good standing with the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association and must attend 50% of the monthly chapter meetings.

Advisory Committee
The Advisory Committee will be comprised of the voting board, immediate past president, and one other member. The role of the Advisory Committee is to guide the chapter in the right direction, take previous experiences and share them with the chapter officers, or step in and question whether a decision is the right one for the chapter.
Education Committee
Committee Chair: Ansleigh Smith, CPP
The Education Chair shall be an active member in good standing with PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association with CPP Certification. The committee responsibility may include but is not limited to assisting the Officers and Board of Directors in securing meeting speakers, establishing meeting topics, insuring there are no schedule conflicts with the PayrollOrg calendar dates, and being advisors to the Certification Study Group Coordinator.
Certification Study Group Coordinator
Committee Chair: James Blood, CPP
The Certification Study Group Coordinator shall be an active member in good standing with PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association with CPP Certification. The Coordinator will work with the Education Chair in setting up the facility, dates, trainers, and promotion of the Certification Study Group. The Coordinator will also be responsible for any other jobs that the Education Chair may determine as necessary.
Meeting Speaker Coordinator
Committee Chair: Linda Clay, CPP
The Meeting Speaker Coordinator shall be an active member in good standing with PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association with CPP Certification. The Coordinator will work with the Education Chair in determining the topics and securing speakers for the monthly meetings. The Coordinator will also be responsible for any other jobs that the Education Chair may determine as necessary.
Statewide Speaker Coordinator
Committee Chairs: Linda Clay, CPP
The Statewide Speaker Coordinator shall be an active member in good standing with PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association with CPP Certification. The Coordinator will work with the Education Chair and Statewide Chair in determining the topics and securing speakers for the statewide conference. The Coordinator will also be responsible for any other jobs that the Education Chair may determine as necessary.
Committee Chairs: TBD
The NPW Chair shall be an active member in good standing with the PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The Chair will organize the chapter’s NPW activities, is the principal liaison with PayrollOrg for all NPW-related communications, and coordinates the chapter’s entry in the NPW contests. Getting all chapter members motivated to participate in NPW is a top priority. The committee’s responsibility may include but is not limited to the promotion of NPW as established by PayrollOrg through educational outreach involving local schools, chapter celebrations, community service projects, local government proclamations, and media outreach bringing recognition to “Payroll Professionals”.
Statewide Committee
Committee Chair: Amanda Russell, CPP
The Statewide Chair shall be an active member in good standing with PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The Chair will organize the chapter’s statewide activities, is the principal liaison with the Statewide Education Chair, Hospitality Chair, volunteers and coordinates the chapter’s entry in the annual chapter contests.
Community Service Committee
Committee Chairs: Stacey Seminara, CPP
The Community Service Committee Chair shall be an active member in good standing with the PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The committee shall be active members in good standing with the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The committee's responsibility is to establish volunteer and charity events for the chapter via in person volunteering and collection drives. Responsible for also ensuring organizations receive items collected. Maintain records of participation for contest entries as well as document via photos.
Newsletter Committee
Committee Chairs: Kelly Young, CPP
The Newsletter Committee Chair shall be an active member in good standing with the PayrollOrg and the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The committee shall be active members in good standing with the Greater Atlanta Payroll Association. The committee’s responsibility may include but is not limited to submitting articles for publication, tracking and coordination of vendor advertisement and content submission, gathering important and relevant information for dissemination to the chapter.
Hospitality Committee
Committee Chair: Alonzo Pitts, CPP
The primary duties of the Hospitality Committee are to ensure the Chapter’s meeting location is secured for all events, establish and review banquet orders with the venue and work with the venue staff to ensure a successful event according to agreements. The committee sets up the the hospitality table before any meeting to greet attendees, have attendees sign in and answer questions from attendees. After an educational event is over, they will track attendance in our system and distribute RCH certificates as needed.
Other Committees
The Officers and Board of Directors may create special committees as deemed necessary for the continuation of the Chapter’s Mission of Education and promotion of Payroll Professionals.
